Two new exhibitions open at the museum this month.
|
From 8 March BLACK GRASS / LOVE LETTERS features work on paper that Fleur van Dodewaard created over the period of a year in various places around the world: in her home country of the Netherlands, in Japan and in Arles, France. The drawings are combined with sculptures. She created these sculptures from materials she found behind the scenes at the Kröller-Müller Museum. |

SELECTION OF WORKS FROM THE OTTE-CAVALCANTI COLLECTION |
From 15 March you can see a selection of works from the Otte-Cavalcanti collection in the exhibition Prints by Sculptors. Yara Cavalcanti Araujo and Melchior Otte have been collecting graphic art by sculptors since 1998. The collection beautifully complements the museum’s collection of sculptures and sculptor’s drawings. The museum owns many sculptures related to the prints in their collection, for example Man and Woman (1963) by Eugène Dodeigne, Horse and Rider (1951–1955) by Marino Marini and K-Piece (1972) by Mark Di Suvero.

You will hear several talks in which philosopher and writer Désanne van Brederode gives you new perspectives to experience the artwork. There is also a special tour for families. |

CONTRIBUTION VRIENDENLOTERIJ |
The Kröller-Müller Museum was pleasantly surprised with a visit from the VriendenLoterij this week. Thanks to their participants, they were able to hand the museum a cheque for no less than € 1,628,601. The Kröller-Müller Museum uses the support to make substantial art acquisitions. |
